Kvintessens! - Quintessence!
The music is a mosaic created by Anders Nyberg. It brings together music from the four directions and the four elements and in that meeting something new and vital is born: Quintessence – the fifth element!
Soloists are André Delang from South Africa, Simone Moreno from Brazil, Rostam Mirlashari from Iran and Gunnel Mauritzson and Anna Sahlene from Sweden. The recordings are made in Sweden and South-Africa and among the instrumentalists you'll find the top studio-musicians from both countries.
We are very happy that “Hela Världen”, the international aid work of the Swedish Lutheran Church that receives all the proceeds from the sales of this CD, has gladly agreed to giving part of the proceeds to the COPES clinic in Soweto and related work, thus enabling us not only to stay long-term committed to this cause but also to include the song on the album. And again a big thank you to all the artists; Johnny Clegg, Gloria Bosman, Danny K, Kreesan, Vusi Mahlasela and all the rest mentioned in the credits for truly being inspirational in lending your voices for a better South Africa and a better world.
